This is my final product whilst cooling down and I am so happy and proud to actually have made a beauty product myself. It's always something that seems so unreal or unimaginable. It also makes me think what else I can produce myself at home. There are definitely things I want to make like bath bombs or body lotion or bathing salt, etc. I can only repeat that it not only saves money but also cleaner and healthier for our nature and only produces positives as there is less packaging and natural ingredients that are all organic. 

If you have the time and lust I can just recommend making these and I promise you will be just as proud.

I've bought these beautiful nails in a nude colouring with a girly yet fashionable, classy glitter print by "Elegant- Touch" (more here) after a recommendation by a friend. I used them for our party last friday to set a light statement by using simple accessories. I wasn't convinced at first because they looked rather plastique and dull in the packaging or maybe I was to skeptical in my own ability to pull them off because I always used to be a believer on the natural side of things.

The package included 24 nails and only cost me around 7 € which I think is a really fair deal considering that there are nails out there that cost double, are half of the product, hold half their promises and don't have a glue in there as well. 

Elegant Touch has many more designs for every purpose, latest colouring and styles everything my heart would desire, so it's at least worth to have a look and I am pretty sure you won't be disappointed.

So putting them on was really easy, there is a glue in there that I used and I simply put that on my entire nail and pressed the nail on top for a minute. The whole procedure took me 12 minutes in total which is way faster than painting my nails and waiting for them to dry. 

Also the form of the nails fit my actual nail which stunned me. I did not have to prepare them to fit my nail. Maybe it is because I have stereotype nails in which case I am lucky but I read other reviews that said the same. No they did fit perfectly which made it very easy for me as a beginner.

As for how long they lasted. The packaging promised that the nails would hold up to 12 days which I thought was a bit "too much" to promise. I decided for myself that I would be happy if they lasted 7 days.

In the end 6 of them did last the week and the other four fell off during the week. Now I do not know if it was because of my poor glueing skills (because under these I saw air) or because of my using my hands more than usual because I was moving, packing up and lifting things. 

I will definitely have another try with the remaining nails and update this post on this point.

my mother called me the other day to tell me she has found a world changing deodorant that was vegan and considerate as she is, she thought I could shout it out into the world. And this is what i am going to do now. 

I am talking about the Lavera Deodorant. 

This is the wonder deodorant in a light and handy packaging, small enough for our hand bags to carry with us, in trusting, neutral blue. It is vegan (it has gotten the label on it as well) with no artificial ingredients and most important no alcohol. 

The product is "bio" meaning that all it's ingredients are local and not transported from far regions which is supporting the environment. The main ingredient seems to be lemon gras which leaves us with a fresh and neutral smell that protects the armpits strongly. 

The product promises 24 hours protection and from what my mother has said after using it the third time around this really works 24 hours. She is satisfied to the greatest and recommence it to everyone.

Hello Everyone! 

Here is the second part of my little beauty haul and I actually was really amazed by how much you guys loved the first part so I hope you will like this post just as much! 

This time my products are all vegan and cruelty free which makes me feel a bit better about myself because none had to die for me. I don't know, I like that I can also contribute into making a change in the world even if it's just a little one but with every person thinking like this an actual movement develops and as a final result there will hopefully happen something wonderful.

I am a perfectionist so as soon as I need a new product, I need the whole line so it will look need and all same coloured. And this is what happened. But I needed quite a few products such a s hair spray, lotion etc. 

I was at a german drugstore called DM and the line I bought it from is the natural cosmetic line "Alverde". It's really affordable and they have a lot of different options in smells of course, very simple packaging that makes me personally trust them a lot more. There is not so much drama, it seems down to earth. Most importantly though it's that it's cruelty free like I said in the intro. But here we go! 

So there I all the products again and I bought a whole hair line. Shampoo, conditioner and a hair mask. Then I had some body lotion and hair mousse. 

Hair products 

I have been using the products for two weeks now and I have to say I am not disappointed. They are not life changing nor are they very special. The thing that I like about them is that they are filled with a lot of good and healthy, natural ingredients such as avocado and chia butter that is supposed to strengthened your hair and because of glycerin from plants it also very hydrating. The whole range is for dry and brittle, thin hair. Now another important factor about hair or body products is the scent for me and these product smell very natural, not chemical and smooth but fresh as well. There is no artificial hint whatsoever that I could find which just makes me think positive. Also it is without any silicones. 

I found myself noticing my hair getting a lot better over the last months which is probably a result of using natural cosmetic to look after myself. It really makes a difference I promise you this.

I really need to use more body lotion because my skin has gotten so dry and it's seriously not nice. On the good side though of hitting rock bottom is rising, seeing life coming back and see things regenerating. So as a first step to do myself something good again I chose the cocoa butter- hibiscus body lotion which smells like summer and winter in one. It starts with a fruity smell and logically finishes with the soft smell of the ever so lovely cocoa butter. It's a whole heart warming scent we have here. 

The lotion itself is of course for dry skin. She lotion gives the skin hydration with its organic plant glycerin and protects it with the help of organic sunflower oil. 

As for what i have noticed is that my skin really has gotten smoother and the after shave effect on my legs are like night and day. I love it and actually starting to like using a lotion again.

Mousse and hairspray

I need a mousse because I let my hair dry without a blowdryer and to avoid the fluff and puff and light curls and waves I use a pump of mousse so I won't have to fight against that unwanted stuff with too much heat after washing and drying it. So I have bought the mousse with lotus flower extracts and purple rice. It gives my hair a lot of volume which surprised me a lot. My hair is really long and thin so it was quite a change to have some centrifugal force in them. My hair stayed in place even during the night and I just needed so use heat to sort it out more for only 4 minutes instead of the usual 12-15 minutes which is all I could ask for.

I am not the one that uses hairspray everyday but still I need it for the really rare moments in my life where I have a need top knot or some up- does. As I want to wear those more often during my longer school days I wanted a product that makes things staying in place but vegan. Alright I only used it once so far so this review is not much accountable but hey. 

The bottle promised a normal hold which I found rather positive because my hair still felt softer and silkier or not so sticky as known of strong holding products. The hair seemed to have a little natural glow and looked more lively, still healthy. 

All over I have had a positive experience with it thought it does not hold the whole day. I'd give it a good six hours before the hair seems to get the better of the situation. Last but not least, there is no artificial smell! Yet, it is worth buying it surely.

 My overall experience ..

.. with the line Alverde and the products I bought is very positive. They are vegan, they are of natural ingredients, keep their promises, smell wonderfully and do not harm your body or hair in any ways as far as I have noticed.

I hope you found this post helpful or I could turn you into trying a natural cosmetic line as Alverde might not be available everywhere. Yet, there are many natural cosmetic lines out there which I am going to introduce to you as well very soon. However, you can maybe buy them as nature is nature and will probably have the same effects. What I can say for sure though is that I am much happier with the organic cosmetics I have bought than the chemical brands I used before.

It is time a little make-up haul I decided. As always I am on the look for any vegan make up I can find, also I seasons are changing once again and I wanted something new and different. And well, bad news first, I did buy a couple of non vegan products from caprice but it's only three items. However three items to many. On the bright side I have finally found a good vegan foundation, fitting powders, a brush, an eyebrow pen and two lipsticks! 

So above you can see the entire haul I wish you fun reading and I hope you can find some products for yourself! After I have tried it new stuff for a while (2-4 weeks) I will give a proper review and some tutorials for autumn.

This are my new members of the vegan foundation "stuff" I have found and they are all from "Alverde" which is a german natural make- up line. Meaning that they are all produced without chemicals and they are all cruelty free. 

All the products that are made in Germany are animal cruelty free because that is a law here. I am very proud to be a german for that reason.

As a liquid foundation I have bought the "Colour and Care 2 in 1 make up in number 20 caramel & cream. It combines a light make up and a day cream in one. The product consists of organic jojoba oil and organic chia butter. It can already say that the lightness of it is breathtaking, it does not seem like I wore any and it felt very freshening. 

Second product is the compact powder in number 030 beige. I cannot say anything clear yet but it does fit to the make up itself and makes the skin even in it's tone. Any redness and little spots are not to be seen anymore. But you need quit a lot as the brush does not take as much of it.

Number three is the shimmer rough powder in number 10 Secret Rose to lighten up my face, give it some healthy colouring and a little mysterious shimmer. It does smell like roses, and it sure does the job. I am literally in love with it. It makes my morning and I am wearing it proudly. I definitely can recommend this already. I always have been very satisfied by the roughs of Alverde, I must say.

This product dimly make your cheeks glow.

My next product is one of the non vegan products I have bought. This is the Catrice cosmetics palette "absolute Rose" number 10 named Frankie Rose To Hollywood. We have six different rose to violet shades in there, three of them are matte (1;2;5) and three of them high pigmented (3;4;6). There is a big variety, you can create a nice nude look as well as a heavier autumn look which is why I like all of their palettes a lot. They do not cost much 5  € tops and you get a lot of them. I also have the nude and chocolate palette and I knew that this would not be a product I won't like. The eyeshadows fit perfectly in the autumn theme and I really am in love with the violet tones at the moment.

Moving on to the eyebrow pencil from Alverde again in number 020. I have quit dark eyebrows even though my hair tends to be on the blonder side (even if not coloured) I have to say it really easy to use and you get a brush on the other side as well so tame your brows before. I just recently started using eyebrow pencil and cannot say too much as I am still experimenting but I couldn't go without it anymore.

I also bought a new brush with is also from a german brand called DM. It is very fluffy and I love, love, love it. It so easy to use and does not hurt my skin like the other brush I had before. Also the finish looks so natural and light, no hard lines what so ever. It was life changing. Plus it's animal cruelty free.

Now we are talking lipsticks. I have bought two one is from Alverde (the green one) and the black one is from DM. 

Alverde first, it is number 28 "Deep Violet" and is a nice berry tone, very natural looking and very fitting for some dark, dramatic autumn lips. It does not stay on too long, you would have to redo your lip once or twice as it kept on sticking on my tea pots like a pro. But I love it anyways.

The other lipstick is from DM like mentioned before. It's the ultra matte lipstick, number 090 matte. And this one is really bright compared to the Alverde one but it lasted literally all day long without disappointing. Never seen that before and I am really amazed. It was so fast and easy to put on, like in 5 seconds and I was ready to go. I surely recommend this lipstick to theo new who like their dramatic dark red lips a lot and all day long!

Now the last two non vegan eyeshadow palletes are from caprice again and they just arrived. I am talking about the Trio Deluxe Eyeshadow number 030 Rose Vintage. It contains three eyeshadows, a light one, and two darker ones. As you can see in my swatches, they are really high pigmented and create a lot of drama in your face so definitely something you'd want to wear to a party or out for dinner, not in school. 

I will create a tutorial with it as I am amazed by the quality of it and caprice has never disappointed me in the past.  

And last but not least we have another Catrice pallet, the other Trio Deluxe Eyehsadow pallet number 010 Antique C'est Trés Chic and this time we have all the brown shades and it is not as dark as the other pallet so we might be able to wear it during the day time as well. As the other paler its highly pigmented and very bright. With this pallet I sure will create a fitting say- time autumn look as well.
