DIY - Book covers

Hello lovelies,

today I got a bit of a DIY for you. I used my saturday evening to do this and basically it's a really short story as it didn't take me longer than 10 minutes with each book.

But first, I got really tired with my book and this year I want to have everything more individual to my school mates because lets face it after over a decade of boring looking school things that look the same everyday and everybody has the same things, how can one get motivated anymore?!

So I pimp my shit this year as far as time allows it.

First and all you need are your book. Make sure they are yours and that you didn't borrow them from school or the library. Then you need some glue and a simple scissors. Last thing you need is a cover. I ordered mine on Amazon which you find here.

Here are the fabric details:

Material: 100% Cotton

Width: 160cm

Weight: 160 gr / sqm

Binding: Canvas L 1: 1

Care: 40 ° wash, shrink approximately 3%

I then just unfolded the fabric and put the open book on it and cut it of about 2-3 inches around the edges and glued the those overlapping edges on the inside. You gotta watch out on the back of the book though. Simply cut a little U above and below.

And you are done. I let it dry overnight as it was pretty wet because of the glue. Don't let it dry lying on the ground, let it dry standing up unless you want your book glued to the ground ;)

Mine is all dry now, it doesn't stick on my hands and just looks super cute. I really think this is a beautiful idea to make you books look better and maybe it awakes more motivation of learning in you if you see a cupcake rather than Maths big and fat written on the cover. Also it protects the actual book as dirt won't really have a change and the cover won't get messy in your bag between all the other stuff. I mean I don't pay 40 bucks just to get it all dirty if I rarely use it in the first place, right?

I really like it and am really excited. I might even do my maths homework now :)

Only thing to add: Your hands get gluey but it's alright as it isn't as messy as other scrapbooking stuff.

Plan My Week #40 & Thoughts

Hello everyone,

I thought today I will talk a bit about my week, to release stress as well and make myself feel better as much as possible.

In the first picture you can see how my week looked last week. They are all the notes with homework's and appointments and thoughts and it looks boring and lets be honest shitty.

And after an hour (I am getting much faster) it looked like this, all need and organized.

Basically Monday and Wednesday will be so hard. I'll be 14 hours on the go and I am so, so scared and anxious. The rest looks pretty nice though, Tuesday has always been my very short day so that is chilly and thursday is alright as the subjects aren't as hard and they go by fast. And this week we won't have friday as a working day so It's a long weekend which I am looking forward to :)

School has been so exhausting in the last two weeks. I hate those time of the year when the teachers thing they are the only subject we have. There is so much homework and so many tests to write that it seems almost impossible to do everything to your best. With time management I try to get everything done but it never seems to be enough. Anyways so school wise life's a bit hard but everything else is okay. It's amazing to see how my body has healed itself after everything and how I am a much different and stronger person in mind and body as well. I know I still have a long way to walk but still I can enjoy it again.

Okay today is sunday and my weekend has been really good. I was alone, my Mum and sister weren't there so I had all the peace I needed to get everything done I didn't over the week. Like homework for starters and some scrapbooking, writing post, cleaning my room and kitchen, washing the wash loads, watch movies, bath time, organizing myself and so on. I am not nearly done yet but surely a big step further. I am happy as I had a productive weekend. Tell me how to do you guys spend your weekends?!

I really just wanted to show you my week as well as talk about it as I am really scared to make it.

DIY- Scrapbooking Against Boredom

Back To School- School Supplies

Hello everyone! It's back to school for me today and with that my back to school series starts. I have a row of some major topic posts prepared for you and I really hope you will find them useful, like them and enjoy reading!

First of we are going to start with supplies of course since it's the most important thing besides outfits, hair and make up, etc.. ;)

You can see in the first photo that I haven't gotten a lot because I am rather simple if it comes to school so I pretty much just got a huge binder for the first term where all my subjects are in. I really just need to take out the subjects I have that day and am ready to go. I also got 12 dividing papers so I sectioned the binder into all the things I have which makes it all look need and more organized. Then I got a box, a bit random I know, but this is for my learning cards. I collect them over the year so I will have everything pre- written when I do my final tests in two years. Then I also got some pens, pencils, a whitener, markers, rubber, pretty much all that stuff that goes in a pencil case which I also got two small ones of. I will put one in my locker and have one with me. Yes, and then I also got a lot of note books of course and these I will have the pleasure to decorate with photos and pictures and sticker which I have also bought a lot from. They are all from a private brand only available in some shops in Germany as are all my school things but this "stuff" is everywhere in different forms and sizes, just go on Amazon here and your right in the jungle of scrapbooking :) But I will have a post on DIY for you later on as well.

This really is all about it for my school stuff, like I said I always keep things very simple so I won't get confused and have everything on me all the time. Right now I am in the process of pimping up my books. I really have gotten into scrapbooking lately and I'm loving it!
